Required Qualifications:

• Experience specifically as a senior system admin with Linux, in particular Debian-based distributions of Linux (Debian, Ubuntu)
• Must be able to code / script in at least two languages - one shell language (BASH or CSH or ZSH or other) and one "scripting language", in particular Python preferred.
• Being able to program in a scripting language like Python, PERL, Javascript
• Have basic to intermediate knowledge of networking / firewalls / security as it pertains to UNIX operatin systems
• Have knowledge of network HW
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of computer hardware (servers)

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with ansible, chef, or other automation tools preferred.
• Ability to build automation infrastructure partially from scratch that can help build virtual machines, real HW, network/ SDN (Social Defined Network) elements.
• Basic networking knowledge and skills (IP networking, firewalls, wireless)
• Experience with Cloud computing AWS, Kubernetes and/or Google cloud. (Kubernetes is a big plus)
• Has experience with APT, Yum, RPM, or similar package management tools, installations, usage
• Experience with automation tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform is a plus

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
