📍 Netherlands – 1 day per week in Arnhem, remaining days remote!
Your role
As a Kubernetes Platform Engineer, you will join a DevOps team responsible for the development, maintenance and further improvement of an internal container platform.
The organisation is accelerating its IT delivery to support the energy transition. This requires modern tools, scalable platforms and reliable processes.
You will work closely with other DevOps engineers, solution architects and platform stakeholders to identify requirements, improve the platform and ensure that security, privacy and reliability are embedded in the solution.
Your responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Develop, maintain and improve the container platform.
- Align with DevOps engineers working on the platform.
- Collaborate with solution architects and engineers to define platform requirements.
- Ensure that privacy, security and reliability standards are respected.
- Support incident handling and participate in standby activities with the team.
- Provide tools and suggestions that help development teams reduce lead time.
- Share knowledge with colleagues and support others in using the platform effectively.
What we expect from you
You have:
- A bachelor-level working and thinking level or higher.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience with open-source technologies and DevOps tooling.
- A good understanding of container platforms in complex environments.
- The willingness to participate in 24/7 support when required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to navigate a large organisation.
Nice to have
It would be a strong plus if you have experience with:
- Maintaining a container platform in a production environment.
- CKA and/or CKAD certification, or the willingness to obtain it.
- Software-defined networking and microservices architecture.
- Agile development and Scrum.
- GitHub Enterprise, CI/CD and version management.
- Deployment tools such as Helm and ArgoCD.
- Observability tooling such as ELK, Prometheus and Grafana.

You are a proactive engineer who likes to take ownership. You are comfortable working in a large organization and know how to align with different stakeholders. You think in solutions, communicate clearly and are approachable for both technical and non-technical colleagues.
