Platform Engineer

We are looking for a Platform Infrastructure Engineer to support the operations and maintenance of enterprise container platforms and shared infrastructure services. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of platform services and COTS components supporting mission-critical applications. More senior candidates will be considered for Platform Infrastructure Lead role.

Key Responsibilitie

• sManage and support Day 2 operations for container platforms, middleware, databases, and enterprise platform services
• .Install, configure, patch, and maintain Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, and enterprise COTS products such as MongoDB, MSSQL, NGINX, Apache, IBM MQ, Kafka, ArcGIS, and Keycloak
• .Monitor platform health, troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and optimize platform performance
• .Support platform upgrades, patching, backup, disaster recovery, and lifecycle management activities
• .Collaborate with application, DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams to support deployments and resolve technical issues
• .Configure monitoring, logging, and observability tools to improve platform reliability and operational visibility
• .Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and support continuous improvement through automation and operational best practices

Requiremen

• tsDiploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplin
• e.3–5 years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or enterprise system administratio
• n.Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL), Windows Server, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Docker, and VMwar
• e.Experience with enterprise middleware and COTS products including MongoDB, IBM MQ, Apache, NGINX, MSSQL, Kafk
• a.Familiarity with Ansible, GitLab, Grafana, Prometheus, backup/recovery, and ITIL processe
• s.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmen

t.Nice to Ha

• veRHCSA/RHCE, VMware VCP, or MongoDB Administrator certification
• s.Experience in government or other highly regulated environment
• s.Knowledge of CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and platform security best practice
