Cloud Engineer (Global Role)

Key Responsibilities

• 24/7 On-site Support: Provide round-the-clock physical presence at the data center/client site to ensure immediate response to incidents
• Incident Management: Quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents. Coordinate resources between internal teams and cloud vendors (Alibaba Cloud/Tencent Cloud) to restore service stability
• Monitoring & Alerting: Manage and optimize monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, ELK). Analyze alerts, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
• Routine Operations: Execute regular system patching, software updates, backup verification, and configuration changes following strict change management protocols
• Capacity Planning: Conduct periodic resource inspections (CPU, Memory, Storage, Network) to identify potential bottlenecks and provide optimization reports

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, Information Security, or a related field
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud operations or DevOps roles
• Solid understanding of enterprise ITIL processes and operation standards

Technical Skills

• Cloud Platforms: Proficient in operating mainstream cloud platforms (Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, AWS, Azure, or Huawei Cloud). Experience with Alibaba Cloud (Apsara Stack) or Tencent TCE is a significant plus.
• Operating Systems & Scripting: Deep expertise in Linux administration (CentOS/Ubuntu). Strong Shell scripting skills for automation.
• Containers & Orchestration: Solid understanding of Docker and K8s architecture. Ability to deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot K8s clusters independently.
• Monitoring Tools: Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, or the ELK stack.
• Networking & Security: Good understanding of TCP/IP, VLAN, and OSPF. Familiar with Nginx, MySQL, firewall configurations, and vulnerability scanning.
• Security & Compliance: Clean record regarding cybersecurity violations. Strict adherence to data confidentiality and compliance protocols.

Certifications & Language

• Mandatory: Must possess a Cloud Vendor Advanced Certification (e.g., Alibaba Cloud ACP/ACE, Tencent Cloud TCP, AWS SA Pro) OR pass the cloud vendor's technical interview.
• Language: Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking). Some projects require bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing or operating infrastructure for well-known large-scale enterprises.
• Multiple cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, Huawei).
• Prior experience building distribution channels or setting up new operation centers from scratch (Greenfield projects).
