Job Overview:

As part of the organisation's aspiration to become a leader in Artificial Intelligence (AI), we are seeking a collaborative and stakeholder-focused AI Governance Partner to support the AI Governance Lead. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between the AI Governance function and business units across the group, helping to balance the risks and opportunities associated with AI applications while ensuring AI use cases are governed in a safe, ethical, and compliant manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own day-to-day engagement with cross-functional stakeholders including data scientists, technology teams, and legal and compliance functions, ensuring stakeholders are informed and supported in meeting their AI governance responsibilities.
• Manage the end-to-end AI Governance Risk Assessment process, from initial triage through to approval, acting as the central point of contact for business units submitting use cases and providing guidance throughout the process.
• Leverage AI tools and automation to streamline and scale the AI Governance Risk Assessment process while maintaining quality and rigour.
• Produce monthly reports on AI governance activity, including use case submission trends, risk assessment outcomes, and the pace of AI adoption across the organisation.
• Support the implementation and embedding of the AI Governance Framework across the group.
• Support the design and delivery of AI governance training programmes and awareness initiatives, developing content tailored to different audiences.
• Support policy development activities, including the drafting, review, and updating of AI governance policies and procedures, and produce regular horizon scanning outputs on AI regulations, emerging risks, and industry developments.

Key Requirements:

• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships, influence without authority, and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
• Demonstrated ability to assess a high volume of AI governance risk assessments with a sound understanding of risk frameworks, ethical considerations, and regulatory requirements relating to AI use cases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in report writing, governance materials, and presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of AI technologies, ethical considerations, and the evolving regulatory landscape, with the ability to translate complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Strong interpersonal, organisational, and collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a governance, compliance, risk management, or business partnering role, preferably within the AI or technology sector, would be an advantage.
