About the Role:

URMine Plus Kft. is looking for an experienced Senior DevOps & Automation Engineer to own and continuously improve our software delivery platform, development infrastructure, and automated testing ecosystem.

This is a hands-on engineering role combining DevOps, Platform Engineering, Linux Systems Administration, CI/CD, Infrastructure Automation, Networking, and Test Automation. You'll work across the full software lifecycle—from developer workflows and build pipelines to production deployments and end-to-end testing.

You'll collaborate closely with our software engineers to build reliable, secure, and highly automated development, staging, and production environments.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Improve build, release and deployment automation
• Administer, secure and troubleshoot Linux servers
• Automate operational and infrastructure tasks using scripting and Infrastructure as Code
• Develop and maintain Playwright end-to-end tests across frontend and backend systems
• Build integration and E2E tests using Testcontainers, Apache Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, REST APIs and TCP/socket communications
• Configure and maintain internal IT infrastructure including WiFi access points, routers and networking equipment
• Maintain Docker and Kubernetes-based environments
• Improve monitoring, logging and observability
• Document infrastructure, automation and engineering processes
• Work closely with developers to improve software quality and delivery reliability

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure or Automation Engineering
• Strong experience with GitHub Actions and modern CI/CD pipelines
• Solid Linux administration experience
• Strong Bash, Python or similar scripting skills
• Docker and Kubernetes experience
• Experience building automated UI tests using Playwright (or similar)
• Experience with integration testing using Testcontainers
• Experience testing distributed systems using Apache Kafka, Redis and Elasticsearch
• Experience validating REST APIs and TCP/socket communications
• Experience configuring and maintaining networking equipment (WiFi access points, routers, firewalls)
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals including VLANs and VPNs
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms (Kibana, Elasticsearch or similar)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Professional working proficiency in English
