The opportunity
Join Worldline to help build and operate secure, scalable, and highly available payment platforms. As a DevOps Engineer, you'll work with cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, containerization, Infrastructure as Code, and automation tools to improve deployment reliability and operational excellence. Day-to-day Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mission-critical applications for debit and credit card transaction processing on HP NonStop systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple locations, including Romania and Belgium to deliver high-quality solutions
- Analyse, design, and implement system enhancements and new features to meet evolving business requirements
- Ensure system stability, performance, and adherence to industry standards and best practices
- Propose application related evolutions to improve service and deliver quality
- Ensure 2nd Line of support for incidents and problem management
- Have a holistic end-to end view on the service: application, underlying infrastructure and other dependencies.
- Identify gather and analyse metrics and events from both infrastructure and application to provide capacity planning, performance improvements and incident analysis.
- Willingness to step into a standby role
- Guarantee that the service you are in charge can be followed via custom alerts, graphs and other metrics.
- Improve existing monitoring and alerting via continuous improvements.
- Participate and validate upcoming service designs and changes, with the mission to ensure that quality of operations will remain at the proper level.
In Practice This Means:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- SQL Knowledge
- Experience with COBOL and C are significant advantages
- Familiarity with Mainframe and in particular HP Non Stop systems is highly beneficial
- Linux (HPNS OSS)
- Python
- Linux Shell scripting
- Monitoring & Alerting: Zabbix, Grafana, ELK, PagerDuty
- CICD: Gitlab, Ansible
- Nice to have: knowledge related to encryption, network configuration, MQ
- Proficient in English (mandatory)
- Knowledge of Dutch / French (nice to have)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to work
