Join the Brisbane CBD software product development centre of a global OEM leader in mining, construction and power systems, developing enterprise software used by mining operations around the world.


As the Software Release Coordinator, reporting to the Release Manager, you'll coordinate software releases across both the current and next generation of a globally deployed Mining Operational Technology (OT) platform. Working within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment supporting four Agile Release Trains (ARTs), you'll collaborate with engineering teams across Australia, the United States, Canada and India to deliver predictable, high-quality software releases.


This is an initial 12-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension. In addition to coordinating software releases, you'll support broader program activities and have the opportunity to improve release management processes, governance and tooling. We're looking for someone who shows initiative, enjoys solving problems and is keen to make a genuine impact.


What You'll Be Doing


  • Coordinate software releases across four Agile Release Trains (ARTs) under the guidance of the Release Manager
  • Maintain release schedules, milestones, deployment windows and release calendars
  • Track release readiness, approvals, testing evidence and deployment activities
  • Coordinate release activities with Software Engineering, DevOps, Platform and Product teams
  • Prepare release communications, release notes, reporting and dashboards
  • Support program planning, governance and release metrics
  • Manage release risks, dependencies and issues
  • Drive continuous improvement of release management processes, governance and tooling
  • Help deliver predictable, high-quality software releases across a complex enterprise environment


About the Technology


You'll support releases for a highly complex enterprise Mining Operational Technology platform used by mining companies globally. The role spans both the current generation platform and a next-generation cloud-native solution comprising enterprise applications, distributed systems and integrated cloud services.


About You

  • You'll be an organised, proactive professional who enjoys coordinating complex technical activities across multiple teams
  • 3-5 years' experience in Software Release Coordination, Release Management or SDLC support
  • Experience working within Agile software development environments (SAFe experience highly regarded)
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Excellent organisational, planning and stakeholder management skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using Azure DevOps or similar Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools
  • Exposure to Power BI would be advantageous
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the initiative to improve processes and ways of working
