Platform Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & Automation in Porto, Portugal

As a Platform Engineer, you will help us build and continuously improve secure, scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure. You will work with Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, Docker, Cloud Run and GitHub Actions while contributing to automation, observability, security and cost optimisation.

At b.telligent, you will work on modern engineering challenges, collaborate with experienced colleagues and take ownership of platform solutions that support reliable and efficient software delivery.

Your responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable and highly available infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform
• Build, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
• Support GitOps-based workflows and enable safe, reliable software deployments
• Operate containerised applications using Docker and Google Cloud Run
• Develop and improve monitoring, logging and alerting solutions
• Contribute to infrastructure security, vulnerability remediation and system hardening
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of ISO 27001-aligned processes and controls
• Analyse incidents, perform root cause analyses and implement sustainable improvements
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, performance and operational efficiency
• Monitor and optimise GCP resource usage and cloud costs
• Document technical solutions, operational processes and architectural decisions

Your profile

• Professional experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps or a comparable field
• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Strong knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles
• Experience with Docker and preferably Google Cloud Run
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and modern CI/CD processes
• Understanding of GitOps workflows and cloud-native architectures
• Experience with monitoring, logging and alerting tools such as Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus or Grafana
• Knowledge of cloud security, vulnerability management and infrastructure hardening
• A structured, proactive and solution-oriented approach
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Fluent English; Portuguese is required for the local working environment
• German is an advantage
