We're seeking a talented Sr Specialist Member of Technical Staff who is passionate about building scalable automation solutions that improve software quality, operational efficiency, and developer productivity. In this role, you'll develop and enhance automation frameworks, tools, and workflows using Python while supporting modern DevOps and cloud-native environments.

What You'll Do

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage AI-assisted development tools, and contribute to automation initiatives across testing, deployment, monitoring, and operational processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, learning emerging technologies, and working in a fast-paced Agile environment.

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks, scripts, and tools using Python’
  • Build automation solutions that streamline software testing, deployment, monitoring, and operational workflows.
  • Partner with developers, platform engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable automation capabilities.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps initiatives that improve software delivery and system reliability.
  • Develop and troubleshoot solutions within Linux-based environments.
  • Assist with containerized application deployments using Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Investigate and resolve automation failures while improving platform stability, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Document technical designs, workflows, and automation best practices.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve productivity and software quality.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and continuously improve delivery processes and automation capabilities.

What You'll Need

  • Experience in software automation, software engineering, or automation development.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Experience developing automation scripts, reusable frameworks, and engineering tools.
  • Working knowledge of Linux operating systems, shell scripting, and troubleshooting.
  • Basic understanding of Kubernetes architecture, including pods, deployments, services, namespaces, and logging.
  • Experience with Git source control and CI/CD pipeline concepts.
  • Familiarity with software deployment automation and monitoring tools.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Our Sr Specialist Member of Technical Staff jobs earn between $128,100.00 - $192,100.00 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
