At the intersection of infrastructure, development, and automation, you are a problem-solver and driving force. You manage and optimize our OpenShift-based platform, handle requests from internal engineers and customers, and push forward the automation of our processes and pipelines. Our environment is hybrid – we operate across Private Cloud and AWS, using Kubernetes as the connecting technology that gives us maximum flexibility.
You work closely with our external partner, who operates the underlying cluster infrastructure, while you and your team make the platform accessible and continuously improve it for our developers. In the mid-term, we aim to increase the share of proactive platform development – and you will have the opportunity to actively shape this journey. Your Tasks
Platform Operations & Administration
- Manage and administer OpenShift resources including namespaces, permissions, configurations, and SFTP
- Handle change requests and support tickets from internal engineers and customers
- Operate andmonitorour hybrid infrastructure (Private Cloud & AWS EKS Clusters)
- Ensure platform stability, performance, and availability using Grafana and Elasticsearch
- Build, integrate, andmaintainCI/CD pipelines to automate deployments
- Develop automation solutions on the platform using Python scripting
- Identifyoptimization potential in operations and implement scalable solutions
- Work closely with development teams to enable efficient DevOps workflows and smooth deployments
- Coordinate with our external infrastructure partner via ticketing system
- Support the evaluation and introduction of new platform technologies and tools
- Contribute to projects aimed at extending and evolving our platform landscape
- Analyze and resolve infrastructure issues while continuouslyoptimizingsystem stability
- Apply a solid understanding of networking concepts (Routing, Switching, Firewall) to collaborate effectively with our external partner
- Document processes, configurations, and solution approaches
- Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or comparable education with relevant professional experience
- Several years of hands-on experience withcontainer platforms, especially Kubernetes
- Practical experience with OpenShift(desirable, but nice to have)
- StrongLinux knowledge
- Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines (e.g.GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar)
- Proficiencyin Python scripting for task automation
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Elasticsearch
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructures (AWS, Private Cloud, Hybrid setups)
- Basic understanding of networking, virtualization, and storage concepts
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, or similar)
- Experience working with external Managed Service Providers
- Relevant certifications,e.g.Red Hat OpenShift (EX280) or CKA/CKAD
- Excellent English skills, both written and spoken (working language)
- German language skills are a plus
