We are seeking a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to support the development, deployment, and operation of cloud-based, microservice platforms. This role will focus heavily on infrastructure automation, CI/CD, container orchestration, and helping teams transition from manual processes to automated solutions.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, GitOps, and Python scripting. This person should be comfortable collaborating with software engineers, senior DevOps engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to understand what is being built and determine how it should be deployed and supported.
Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and improve cloud infrastructure primarily within AWS, with some exposure to Azure.
- Develop reusable Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.
- Support Docker and Kubernetes-based application environments.
- Build and improve CI/CD and GitOps processes using tools such as Argo CD.
- Write Python scripts to automate infrastructure, deployment, testing, and operational processes.
- Help teams transition from manual workflows to scalable, automated solutions.
- Partner with development and business teams to understand application requirements and deployment needs.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, networking, and production issues.
- Support monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis using tools such as Datadog.
- Participate in code reviews and recommend improvements to automation and infrastructure practices.
- Assist with cloud security, resiliency, disaster recovery, and cost-management initiatives.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or Software Engineer.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services; Azure exposure is preferred.
- Mid-level Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
- Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps practices, and Argo CD or similar tools.
- Proficiency with Python or another scripting language.
- Experience automating infrastructure, deployments, testing, or operational processes.
- Familiarity with Git branching, merging, and code review practices.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog.
- Understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, scalability, and resiliency principles.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
