The VP - Hybrid Cloud & Container Platforms is responsible for leading the strategy, architecture, engineering, delivery, and operational stability of Mashreq Bank’s Hybrid Cloud and Container Platform estate across on-premises and public cloud environments. The role has end-to-end accountability for the bank’s strategic Hybrid Cloud platform based on Red Hat OpenShift to host both virtual servers and containerized workloads on a unified platform supporting hundreds of business-critical applications. The role is also accountable for Azure AKS Kubernetes platforms as well as Azure Stack HCI on premise . The role is responsible for the full lifecycle of the underlying platform stack, including compute, cluster architecture, storage and data services integration, resilience design, automation, observability, and operational governance. This includes managing the Hybrid Cloud data layer built on Pure Storage and Portworx to provide scalable, resilient, and portable platform services across Mashreq datacenters, while enabling future expansion of the platform into Microsoft Azure to support workload portability and hybrid deployment patterns.
