Introduction

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to work with a global insurance organization, supporting container-based infrastructure and application modernization initiatives across Japan and the US. This role will serve as the primary Japan point of contact for container operations, partnering with application teams, infrastructure teams, and global engineering stakeholders to design, support, and optimize container environments within AWS-based platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end support for container platforms, including architecture, deployment, operations, troubleshooting, and security compliance.
  • Collaborate with Japan and US application teams to support Docker/ECS-based containerization initiatives and advise on container environment design.
  • Automate processes and tooling related to AWS and container infrastructure while supporting technical operations and platform improvements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, support PoC/testing activities, and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver optimal solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with a software development background, followed by experience in DevOps, containerization, or platform engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Docker and container technologies; experience with ECS and AWS environments is highly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with application development teams and provide guidance on container-based application environments.
  • Experience working in corporate enterprise environments and managing relationships with both technical and business stakeholders.

Business-level fluency or above in English and N3 level Japanese proficiency is required.
