Senior Platform Engineer

East Nashville

About the Role

We are building the next generation of enterprise quality engineering.

As part of the transition to the new TrustAI platform, we are rebuilding our testing ecosystem from the ground up with an AI-first, modular architecture.

This role is focused on delivering next-generation Functional, API, and Accessibility testing applications built on our cloud stack. You will help design and build scalable testing systems, intelligent orchestration services, modern developer experiences, and AI-enhanced quality workflows for enterprise customers operating in highly regulated environments.

This is not a legacy Dev or QA role. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building the future of enterprise testing platforms.

What You’ll Work On

  • Build modern testing applications for Functional, API, Accessibility testing, and more
  • Design scalable backend services and orchestration layers for distributed test execution
  • Develop AI-assisted workflows for test generation, validation, resiliency, and migration
  • Build integrations with CI/CD systems, DevOps pipelines, cloud providers, and enterprise platforms
  • Help evolve the TrustAI application architecture alongside the platform team
  • Contribute to deterministic execution systems that function independently of LLM availability
  • Work closely with architects, product leadership, and platform engineers to define long-term technical direction
  • Support migration pathways from existing Automation assets into the new platform ecosystem
  • Improve platform observability, reliability, performance, and developer experience
  • Help establish engineering standards, patterns, and scalable application foundations for future platform capabilities

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Strong experience with modern backend or full-stack application development
  • Experience building scalable distributed systems or cloud-native applications
  • Strong proficiency in one or more modern languages: TypeScript / Node.js, Python, React
  • Experience with APIs, asynchronous processing, and service-oriented architectures
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud services and modern deployment practices
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling
  • Strong systems thinking and architectural problem-solving skills
  • Highly autonomous and results-driven work ethic
  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving startup-style environments with evolving requirements

Preferred

  • Experience building testing platforms, developer tooling, or automation frameworks
  • Experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or API testing frameworks
  • Experience integrating LLMs or AI-assisted workflows into production systems
  • Familiarity with event-driven systems, queues, orchestration, or workflow engines
  • Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms such as Salesforce
  • Exposure to observability, telemetry, and distributed execution systems
  • Prior startup or platform modernization experience

Technology Areas

You do not need experience in every area, but technologies relevant to this role may include:

  • TypeScript / Node.js
  • Python
  • React
  • REST, GraphQL
  • MongoDB, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL
  • AWS Infra (Lambda, ECS, Step Functions, Bedrock, API Gateway, S3, CDK, SQS)
  • Docker / Kubernetes
  • Playwright, Selenium, Test Automation Frameworks
  • CI/CD pipelines, IaC (CloudFormation/CDK), containerization
  • OAuth / Identity systems
  • LLM APIs and AI orchestration frameworks (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, etc.)

Why This Role Matters

TrustAI represents a full platform vision and strategic transformation of the future product direction. You will help define the foundation for how enterprise organizations validate software quality, AI agents, APIs, workflows, and business-critical systems over the next decade.

You will join a small, highly influential engineering group with direct impact on architecture, product direction, and platform strategy from day one.
