HTC is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, building, and operating the cloud infrastructure and developer platforms that power our products. You will work closely with engineering teams across the organization to drive reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
This is a hands-on technical role suited for an engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of complex systems, and is passionate about automation, observability, and continuous improvement. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design, build, and maintain highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Operate and optimize Kubernetes (Amazon EKS) clusters running production workloads.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Jenkins to support reliable software delivery.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using Terraform, Helm, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
- Design and maintain service mesh solutions using Istio, including traffic management, security, and observability.
- Improve platform reliability through monitoring, logging, alerting, incident response, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes, platform architecture, and operational excellence.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for security, availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies that improve developer experience and platform capabilities.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Abilities)
- 2-3 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Infrastructure.
- Strong experience with AWS services, including EC2, VPC, IAM, ALB, Route 53, CloudFront, S3, and EKS.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
- Experience implementing and operating Istio service mesh, including sidecar mode and/or Istio Ambient Mesh.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Helm.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
- Experience with Linux system administration and container technologies such as Docker.
- Experience with observability platforms including Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and EFK/ELK.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Bash, Python, Go, or Node.js.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a focus on automation and operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Abilities)
- Experience with AWS networking, CDN, DNS, and security services such as CloudFront, WAF, Route 53, ACM, and Shield.
- Experience implementing GitOps workflows using Argo CD or Flux.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and large language models (LLMs) to improve engineering productivity and operational efficiency.
- Experience optimizing Kubernetes clusters and AWS infrastructure for cost and performance.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Kubernetes certifications are a plus.
- Passion for learning new technologies and continuously improving engineering practices.
