Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure Databricks & MLOps)

€70,000 - €75,000 per annum

We're looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to play a key role in the development and operation of a modern AI platform built on Azure technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to help enable data scientists and engineers to build, deploy, monitor, and govern machine learning and generative AI solutions at scale.

The Role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising the infrastructure and processes that support enterprise-scale AI and machine learning initiatives. Working closely with data, engineering, and platform teams, you'll help drive best practices across automation, governance, deployment, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimise AI/ML pipelines for model training, deployment, monitoring, and governance.
• Leverage Azure Databricks capabilities, including MLflow and Unity Catalog, to support scalable machine learning operations.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated ModelOps workflows.
• Ensure data platforms support governance, compliance, and evolving schema requirements.
• Deliver robust, secure, and scalable solutions within a cloud-native Azure environment.
• Create and maintain PowerShell automation scripts, including testing and validation processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve platform reliability, efficiency, and scalability.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience with Azure Databricks, including MLflow and Unity Catalog.
• Proven background in DevOps, MLOps, or AI platform engineering.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, and schema management.
• Experience working within Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Hands-on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using Terraform.
• Strong scripting and automation capabilities.

Desirable Skills

• Understanding of machine learning and Generative AI concepts and operational workflows.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Python development and scripting experience.
• Exposure to machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
• Experience supporting AI/ML workloads within Azure Databricks environments.
