Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and ownership.
• Partner with global infrastructure teams to design, build, and maintain large-scale, cloud-based and on-premises data center infrastructures.
• Define clear vision and roadmap in alignment with business needs, and drive execution from design through delivery.
• Stay hands-on technically, providing architectural guidance and contributing to solving complex infrastructure challenges.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, security, and operations teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Continuously improve processes to ensure efficiency, reliability, and adaptability as Roblox expands in China.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering management experience, with a strong record of building and scaling high-performing teams.
• Proven expertise in large-scale distributed systems, capable of handling billions of events with high reliability.
• Hands-on background in infrastructure engineering, with experience in data center and/or cloud-based environments.
• Track record of delivering mission-critical infrastructure, working across global organizations and multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent in English, both written and oral, with strong communication skills and the ability to deliver clear leadership presentations.
• Cross-cultural leadership experience in both Silicon Valley and Chinese companies is a strong plus.
