Role Overview

As a Senior Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in solving impactful operational problems. You are curious, proactive, and balance innovative thinking with pragmatic execution. You understand the long-term impacts of technical decisions, communicate complex ideas clearly, and collaborate effectively to deliver scalable, resilient solutions.

Core Responsibilities

• Enhance resiliency engineering practices across platforms and applications, including resilient design patterns, observability, and deployment strategies.
• Lead incident detection, troubleshooting, and resolution efforts.
• Develop automation for incident response and infrastructure management.
• Build and support OpenTelemetry integrations across multiple platforms (browser, ECS, Lambda, etc.) and languages (JavaScript, Java).
• Contribute to architectural decisions and support implementation of scalable solutions.

Skills & Qualifications

• Programming Expertise: Deep knowledge of Java or JavaScript; practical experience in distributed systems.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills, debugging, and optimization for performance and scalability.
• Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure.
• System Architecture: Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
• Scripting: Working knowledge of Python (or similar scripting language).
• Resiliency Engineering: Strong knowledge of resiliency techniques for platforms and applications.
• Production Troubleshooting: Experience diagnosing complex production issues and implementing effective mitigations.
• Observability: Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
