Role Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Linux) to integrate our teams into a highly specialised financial services environment, responsible for managing and optimising a globally distributed FX trading infrastructure.
This role focuses on ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability of mission-critical systems, while supporting the evolution towards automation and cloud-based services in a low-latency trading ecosystem.
What you will do:
- Oversee and maintain global trading infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance;
- Collaborate closely with software developers, network engineers, and infrastructure teams to support and enhance trading platforms;
- Provide infrastructure expertise, contributing to system design, optimisation, and performance tuning for low-latency environments;
- Automate infrastructure processes and deployments to improve consistency across distributed systems;
- Support infrastructure lifecycle activities, including provisioning, migrations, and data centre build-outs;
- Research emerging technologies and contribute to the definition of the infrastructure and cloud strategy roadmap.
What you are like:
- Proficient in Linux system administration (RHEL, SLES) within production environments;
- Experienced in performance tuning and optimisation of systems for low-latency applications;
- Knowledgeable in virtualisation and container technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker, Kubernetes);
- Comfortable working with scripting languages such as Python and Shell for automation tasks;
- Skilled in managing mission-critical infrastructure and troubleshooting complex production issues;
- Familiar with infrastructure automation and provisioning tools such as Ansible or Puppet (preferred);
- Exposure to Windows systems and NAS administration is a plus;
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn and adopt new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
