ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a hands-on Cloud Engineer for a Tier 1 mining company based in Perth.
You'll take ownership of our Azure Kubernetes Service platform — keeping clusters healthy, shipping containerised workloads, automating infrastructure delivery, and making sure everything is observable and secure.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own day-to-day operations of production AKS clusters
- Package, release, and troubleshoot workloads using Docker and Azure Container Registry (ACR), managing the full container lifecycle in a Linux-based environment.
- Design and support secure connectivity across Azure private networking — spanning VNets, private endpoints, routing configurations, firewall rules, and RBAC policies.
- Maintain observability across the platform through Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Container Insights, and Grafana dashboards; investigate alerts and tune performance.
- Triage incidents, analyse logs and telemetry, drive root cause analysis, and implement improvements that raise platform reliability over time.
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to automate both application deployments and infrastructure provisioning.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Practical, hands-on Azure experience spanning infrastructure provisioning, security controls, and application hosting.
- Solid grounding in Kubernetes — ideally AKS
- Familiarity with Docker and container lifecycle workflows
- Experience authoring and operating Azure DevOps pipelines
- Good working knowledge of Azure networking concepts
