Title: Senior AWS DevOps Engineer
Location: Fully Remote
Salary: $160,000 – $190,000 +Bonus
This role is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants to drive change, modernize pipelines, and set technical direction for how DevOps is done. You’ll be the go-to DevOps engineer supporting five SaaS engineering teams building AWS-native, serverless applications. You’ll own CI/CD, infrastructure automation, security, and reliability — and you’ll be trusted to fix what needs fixing without being told. You will drive the DevOps road map. Pipelines need improvement. Some need to be rebuilt from scratch. Legacy systems need modernization. Automation needs to be taken further. You’ll lead that transformation.

Responsibilities
- Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines across multiple engineering teams
- Design and automate AWS infrastructure using Terraform (or OpenTofu)
- Rebuild parts of the pipeline where needed
- Push automation deeper into everything — builds, deployments, security, monitoring
- Migrate older systems to modern cloud architectures
- Partner directly with software engineers
- Make technical decisions and explain the “why” behind them
- Improve reliability, performance, security, and cost efficiency
- Step in and solve problems instead of waiting for tickets
This is a role for someone who sees what needs fixing and just fixes it. This role needs deep, hands-on AWS DevOps skill.
You should bring:
- 6+ years building and operating AWS infrastructure
- Strong scripting (Bash required, Python a big plus)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation
- Real CI/CD experience (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, or similar)
- Deep understanding of AWS services in production
- SaaS platform exerience
- Strong automation mindset
- Security awareness (IAM, WAF, KMS, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, etc.)
- Comfort working across multiple engineering teams
