We are seeking a Murex DevOps Consultant to support the design, build, automation, and operation of platforms used to deliver the Murex MX.3 / MX platform across SaaS, cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical fundamentals, a DevOps mindset, and interest in Murex platform engineering, environment management, CI/CD, release automation, and production reliability.
You will work closely with development, QA, support, infrastructure, and client-facing delivery teams to improve deployment efficiency, environment consistency, monitoring, and operational stability. The role will contribute to automated provisioning, release pipelines, environment lifecycle management, incident troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across Murex delivery and support processes.
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, environment support, infrastructure automation, or technical application support.
- Exposure to Murex MX.3 / MX platform is beneficial, but strong DevOps fundamentals and willingness to learn Murex are key.
- Understanding of CI/CD principles, release engineering, automated build/deployment processes, and version control practices.
- Hands-on experience with Git, branching strategies, code review processes, tagging, artifact handling, and repository-based automation.
- Scripting capability using Bash, Shell, Python, or similar for automation, troubleshooting, and repeatable operations.
- Basic understanding of Linux/Unix environments, log analysis, service management, file processing, and operational diagnostics.
- Exposure to cloud, SaaS, or hybrid environments; knowledge of Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, or similar tooling is a plus.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, alerting, RCA, and reliability concepts; an SRE mindset is highly valuable.
- Basic database awareness, including data provisioning, migration, sanitisation, reconciliation, or masking for non-production environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with development, QA, support, product, and client teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for integration, testing, packaging, deployment, and release automation.
- Assist with automated build and deployment processes, ensuring pipeline stability, reduced manual intervention, and consistent delivery across environments.
- Maintain automation templates and scripts in Git repositories, supporting version control, peer review, tracking, and reusable delivery components.
- Support environment provisioning, configuration, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Help ensure Murex environments are standardised, reproducible, secure, and compliant, especially across multi-client and multi-environment setups.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting to improve visibility across platforms, pipelines, and environments.
- Assist with incident investigation and RCA, troubleshooting issues across infrastructure, pipelines, application services, and environment configuration.
- Support data and environment operations, including data provisioning, masking, sampling/reduction, migration, sanitisation, and reconciliation where required.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to improve test automation, environment consistency, release readiness, and deployment quality.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by documenting processes, improving internal tooling, standardising ways of working, and supporting onboarding/knowledge sharing.
