Responsibilities:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating automated platforms that enable reliable, secure, and scalable delivery of the MX platform across SaaS, cloud, and on-premise environments.
You will play a key role in CI/CD implementation, infrastructure automation, environment management, and production reliability, working closely with development, QA, and client-facing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. CI/CD & Release Engineering
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration, testing, and deployment across multiple environments.
- Ensure pipeline stability, performance, and reliability, minimizing build failures and delays.
- Implement automated build, packaging, and deployment processes.
- Enforce version control best practices (branching strategies, tagging, artifact management).
- Support release cycles, including validation, smoke testing, and rollback strategies.
2. Automation
- Plan & Code Templates stored in Git repositories alongside application code, allowing template updates to be version-controlled, code-reviewed, and tracked.
- Automate environment provisioning, configuration, and upgrades.
- Build reusable automation components to improve scalability and consistency.
- Reduce manual operations through process automation and scripting.
3. Environment & Platform Management.
- Deploy and manage MX environments across development, testing, and production stages.
- Handle environment lifecycle:
- Provisioning.
- Configuration.
- Upgrades & patching.
- Decommissioning.
- Ensure environments are standardized, reproducible, and compliant.
- Support multi-client and multi-environment setups in SaaS or hybrid models.
5. Monitoring, Observability & Reliability (SRE mindset)
- Implement and maintain:
- Monitoring.
- Logging.
- Alerting.
- Ensure end-to-end observability of platforms and pipelines.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on incidents.
- Contribute to improving system reliability, SLAs, and operational KPIs.
7. Data & Environment Operations
- Manage environment data lifecycle:
- Data provisioning.
- Data masking for non-prod environments.
- Data sampling and reduction.
- Support database operations:
- Migration.
- Sanitization.
- Reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with security and data governance requirements.
8. Incident & Support Management
- Act as a technical escalation point for environment and platform incidents.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure, pipelines, and environments.
- Coordinate with support and product teams for resolution.
- Ensure proper documentation and knowledge sharing.
9. Collaboration & Delivery Enablement
Collaborate with:
- Development teams (integration into CI/CD pipelines).
- QA teams (test automation and environment consistency).
- Product teams (release readiness and constraints).
- Client teams (technical coordination and delivery).
- Contribute to smooth delivery across project lifecycle.
10. Continuous Improvement & Best Practices
- Promote DevOps principles:
- Automation-first.
- Continuous integration & delivery.
- Shift-left testing.
- Identify inefficiencies and propose improvements.
Contribute to:
- Internal tooling.
- Documentation.
- Standardization efforts.
- Share knowledge and support onboarding of new team members.
Mandatory Skills Description:
- Strong working knowledge of Murex Configuration and Environment management.
- Strong knowledge of scheduler software (e.g. Tidal, Autosys, JAMS, ...etc.).
- Good understanding of MXTest.
- Good product knowledge/understanding in IRD, CRD, EQD, FXD.
- Good understanding of Workflows, Operations, Fixings process, Confirmations, and Trade Life Cycle.
- Strong functional and technical understanding of Murex.
- Good knowledge of the different post-trade interactions between the various actors of capital markets including service providers.
Must:
- Previous experience, min 2yrs, with Murex Environment management.
- MXTest Module (a plus).
- Must have strong personality, logical and analytical skills.
- Be detailed-oriented, a quick learner and self-starter.
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have strong organization skills.
- Good SQL, Unix, Scripting, Sybase and Oracle skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills Description:
Required Skills & Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD.
- Hands-on experience in production or client-facing environments preferred.
Technical Skills:
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps.
- Version control systems: Git (advanced usage).
- Proficiency in template engines, specifically FreeMarker (FTL).
- Scripting: Shell, Python, Groovy.
- Operating systems: Linux/Unix.
- Cloud platforms: AWS (preferred), Azure/GCP is a plus.
- Databases: RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar).
- DevOps & Platform Expertise.
- Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines in complex environments.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools.
- Exposure to SaaS / distributed architectures.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in production environments.
- Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
