As our Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll work closely with our engineering teams to own and evolve the platform they depend on every day. Cloud infrastructure, observability, and security are approached as engineering problems, with real ownership and real scope.

This is a senior individual contributor position. You’ll be expected to bring your own judgement, set direction in your domain, and collaborate as a peer with the engineering teams you’re enabling. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and evolve cloud infrastructure on AWS, with a focus on scalability, security, and reliability
• Embed security into every stage of the delivery lifecycle, from infrastructure design through to deployment
• Champion observability across our platform: defining SLOs, building meaningful dashboards, and driving blameless post-mortems
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams as a peer, embedding DevOps practices rather than acting as a gatekeeper
• Own and improve CI/CD pipelines, keeping feedback loops fast and developer experience at the forefront
• Take clear ownership of platform concerns, helping to define and mature the scope of the DevOps function as the organisation scales

Ideal Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including networking, compute, and security services
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or AWS CDK
• Experience working in a SaaS product company with high-availability requirements
• Security-minded, with practical experience applying shift-left practices in a real delivery environment
• Hands-on experience with Datadog: dashboards, monitors, APM, and log management
• Experience establishing or significantly improving CI/CD pipelines, ideally within a monorepo or large multi-service codebase
• A genuine interest in developer experience: you care about how quickly and confidently engineers can ship
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes or ECS)
• The ability to work autonomously and exercise good judgement
• Strong communication skills: you can work across engineering teams and influence without authority
