We're looking for an OpenShift Platform Engineer to join a leading international organization in the banking sector, where you'll play a key role in managing and evolving one of the company's core container platforms.
What you'll be doing
As part of a highly skilled infrastructure team, you'll be responsible for the administration, automation and continuous evolution of enterprise OpenShift environments supporting critical business applications.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Managing the full lifecycle of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.x, from installation and upgrades to patching and security hardening.
- Designing and maintaining highly available Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms across development, staging, production and disaster recovery environments.
- Managing networking, storage and security, ensuring a reliable and resilient platform for application teams.
- Automating platform operations using Ansible and GitOps (ArgoCD/OpenShift GitOps).
- Supporting monitoring, observability and logging with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, Loki and Datadog.
- Driving platform reliability through disaster recovery planning, backups and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working closely with development and DevOps teams to deliver a modern cloud-native platform.
What we're looking for
Technical Skills
- Proven experience administering Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.x in production environments.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and container platform administration.
- Experience installing and upgrading OpenShift clusters (UPI/IPI) on VMware or bare-metal environments.
- Solid Linux administration skills (RHEL).
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift networking, storage, RBAC and security.
- Strong command of oc, kubectl and YAML configuration.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, Loki or EFK.
- Experience with Ansible and GitOps practices using ArgoCD/OpenShift GitOps.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Proactive mindset with a passion for automation and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
