What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable backend services powering Slayz’s investment platform.

• Design APIs, data models, service flows, and backend architecture for mobile applications, trading systems, onboarding, portfolio management, CRM, and internal platforms.

• Own backend services throughout their lifecycle—from design and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Mobile, Frontend, QA, DevOps, Security, and Operations teams to deliver high-quality production features.

• Optimize backend performance, database efficiency, reliability, observability, and overall system scalability.

• Develop and maintain integrations with internal systems, brokerage infrastructure, market data providers, payment services, and third-party financial platforms.

• Build secure backend workflows for authentication, account opening, KYC, deposits, withdrawals, portfolio management, order execution, notifications, and customer communication.

• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical decision-making, and engineering best practices.

• Support production releases, troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and continuously improve system reliability.

• Contribute to technical documentation, API specifications, architecture decisions, and operational processes.

• Design backend solutions with security, resilience, auditability, and regulatory compliance as core principles.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.

• Strong experience designing, building, and maintaining production-grade backend systems and service-oriented architectures.

• Solid experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS, or equivalent backend technologies such as Java, Go, or Python.

• Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.

• Good understanding of REST APIs, authentication, authorization, caching, background jobs, queues, distributed systems, and API design.

• Experience with automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, production monitoring, logging, and debugging.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, secure, and well-tested code.

• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product, Mobile, Frontend, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.

• Strong ownership mindset, problem-solving skills, and the ability to independently drive technical initiatives.

• Passion for building reliable financial products and an interest in FinTech, investing, and capital markets.

Bonus Points

• Experience working in a FinTech company, investment platform, brokerage firm, bank, or financial services company.

• Experience building trading platforms, portfolio systems, onboarding flows, KYC processes, payment systems, or financial transaction services.

• Experience integrating with Borsa İstanbul, MKK, Takasbank, TEFAS, US stock markets, market data providers, CRM platforms, or payment providers.

• Experience with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.

• Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, distributed systems, high-availability environments, and observability practices.

• Strong understanding of application security, data privacy, access control, audit logging, and regulated production environments.

• Experience mentoring engineers, improving engineering practices, and contributing to technical leadership.
