The opportunity
Every day, our cloud-native acquiring platform processes billions of card transactions — authorization, clearing, and settlement — for customers who trust us to get it right, every time. We're building an internal Engineering Platform that lets our product teams move fast without reinventing infrastructure each time. You'll join the Platform Engineering team to design self-service tooling that developers actually want to use: fewer tickets, fewer handoffs, less time fighting security and compliance, more time shipping. If you like building the systems other engineers build on top of, read on.
Day-to-day Responsibilities
You'll help build and run the platform that lets developers independently create, test, launch, and monitor our real-time authorization services. Concretely, that means designing and delivering an internal platform that:
- Gives development teams seamless, self-service access to the tools they need
- Cuts non-development overhead and cross-team delays
- Reduces the cognitive load of security, governance, and compliance
- Enables fast, independent software delivery
- Ties success to clear, observable business outcomes
Who Are We Looking For
We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what's next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:
- 5+ years hands-on software development, with strong production Python experience. Comfortable with Git.
- Solid grasp of SSO, authentication, and access control — with exposure to AWS Cognito, Flask, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect.
- Strong in Python and Go, with deep knowledge of REST APIs and HTTP(S), including managing proxies and requests with NGINX.
- Extensive AWS experience — ELB, Route 53, Lambda, IAM, DynamoDB, S3, RDS — plus cloud-native networking: VPCs, subnets, peering, transit gateways, service meshes, NATs, and firewalls.
- Experience with AWS multi-account strategies and automating account provisioning through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Practical CI/CD experience with Jenkins and Docker, ideally on AWS ECS.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
- Fluent in English and/or Swedish, with a valid Swedish work permit.
- Bonus: some React experience.
- Care about giving teams autonomy — so features ship faster and production issues get resolved quicker
- Are a self-starter who's also a genuine team player: accountable, dependable, and good at working across groups
- Communicate clearly and build strong working relationships
- Stay comfortable with ambiguity and bring a learning mindset
- Enjoy mentoring other engineers
- Hands-on DevOps culture: automation, lean processes, metrics, and resilience
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (or equivalent expertise)
- Experience applying AI-driven approaches to operations and tooling, and scaling them
- Public code, writing, or projects that show your work
- Experience building secure and/or PCI-DSS certified solutions
- Competitive salary
- 30 days' annual leave
- Private medical insurance
- Attractive stakeholder pension scheme
- Flexible benefits scheme with discounted products and services
- Comprehensive training and development programs — we're serious about growing your career
