Site Reliability Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for Site Reliability Engineers to help design, build, and scale the infrastructure powering Masan's digital transformation across retail, FMCG, and commerce ecosystems, some of the largest and most complex platforms in Vietnam.

This is not a purely operational role. You will design and build the platforms, tools, and automation that engineering teams rely on every day, while also owning the reliability, performance, and resilience of systems operating at scale. You will work at the intersection of software engineering and infrastructure, with real ownership over how Masan's platforms are built, run, and kept resilient.

What You Will Do

Platform Engineering & Automation

• Design and build platforms and developer tools that make engineering teams faster, safer, and more autonomous, from self-service infrastructure to automated operational workflows.

• Turn repetitive operational work into reliable, well-engineered automation and services, applying real software engineering practices rather than one-off scripts.

• Partner closely with Backend, DevOps, and Data teams to shape how systems are deployed, operated, and scaled across Masan's digital ecosystem.

Reliability & Infrastructure Operations

• Manage, operate, and optimize infrastructure running on Kubernetes (K8s).

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery of digital products.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.

• Operate and optimize infrastructure on Azure Cloud (or equivalent cloud providers).

• Ensure system uptime through proactive monitoring, alerting, and defined SLIs/SLOs.

• Design and build Disaster Recovery (DR) systems, including failover, backup, and restore capabilities.

• Participate in incident response, perform root cause analysis, and drive long-term reliability improvements.

• Build and maintain observability systems, including logging, monitoring, alerting, and tracing.

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.

• Hands-on software development experience (Golang, Python, or equivalent) to build tools and automation.

• Strong proficiency with Kubernetes, including deployment, operation, and troubleshooting in production environments.

• Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, or equivalent).

• Experience with Terraform and Ansible for Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.

• Familiarity with Azure Cloud (AKS, networking, IAM, storage) is a strong advantage.

• Experience designing and implementing Disaster Recovery strategies (backup/restore, failover).

• Knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Jaeger, or ELK/EFK.

• Strong operational mindset with a focus on high availability and system reliability.

Nice to Have

• Experience operating large-scale systems in retail, FMCG, or digital commerce environments.

• Experience implementing multi-region or multi-cloud disaster recovery strategies.

• Understanding of container security and network policies in Kubernetes.

• Relevant certifications such as Azure (AZ-104, AZ-400) or Kubernetes (CKA).
