About the Role We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer and AI Architect to strengthen our team with deep technical expertise. You will influence our software engineering direction, help redesign and modernize key systems, and drive the integration of advanced AI capabilities to significantly improve automation across our global factory backbone (1,500+ servers).

This is a hands-on role where you will combine strong software architecture leadership with practical AI implementation to reduce manual support, significantly increase automation and keep our factories secure.

What You’ll Do

  • Influence technical direction, architecture decisions, code quality, security, and pull request reviews
  • Lead the redesign and modernization of existing systems from monoliths toward scalable, distributed architectures
  • Design and build production-grade agentic AI solutions using LLMs (local + cloud), RAG, and intelligent automation
  • Integrate AI into current workflows, monitoring, and factory systems
  • Continuously drive improvement with new ideas and concepts
  • Mentor and upskill junior and mid-level engineers
  • Deliver secure, high-performance, and observable solutions with clear business impact
  • Design and implement CI/CD
  • Lead observability strategy and implementation (metrics, tracing, alerting)
  • Whatever else you find interesting and have bandwidth to help with

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of strong software engineering experience with excellent architecture and system design skills
  • Proven ability to redesign and modernize complex, mission-critical systems
  • Strong applied AI expertise: building production agentic systems, MCP, RAG pipelines, and integrating local + cloud LLMs
  • Deep hands-on proficiency in .NET/C#, SQL & NoSQL databases, and Kubernetes/distributed systems
  • Experience with TCP, UDP, QUIC + HTTP/3, gRPC, DNS, load balancing, service discovery, NAT traversal
  • Strong focus on code quality, security, performance, and mentoring
  • Strong understanding of network data transfer optimization, load balancing, connection management, multiplexing, and flow/congestion control
  • Experience with distributed storage systems (e.g. CEPH)
  • Strong experience working with encrypted data, including secure data transfer between systems, while ensuring data consistency, transactional integrity, and atomicity

The ideal candidate will have strong depth in several of these areas and demonstrate a genuine eagerness to grow in the others. We value learning agility and are happy to invest in someone who is curious and driven.
