ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to serve as a data anchor for the cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and backend services powering a unified franchisee portal. You will design and maintain Node.js and TypeScript microservices, lead phased ETL migrations from legacy systems into PostgreSQL, implement infrastructure as code with Terraform, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps. The role includes active use of AI tools including Claude and GitHub Copilot to accelerate development, and requires strong observability practices using Dynatrace and CloudWatch.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable backend APIs and microservices using Node.js and TypeScript;
- Lead phased migrations, ETL processes, and data hygiene management when migrating legacy data into PostgreSQL;
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform;
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps;
- Implement best practices for observability, security, and compliance using Dynatrace and CloudWatch;
- Use Claude or GitHub Copilot to accelerate development by generating code scaffolding, writing and reviewing tests, creating documentation, and prototyping solutions;
- Own the engineering lifecycle for features, including architecture, implementation, testing, CI/CD, and production monitoring.

MUST HAVES
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience;
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend and cloud infrastructure;
- Strong experience with JavaScript, Node.js, and TypeScript;
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, Microservices architecture, and event-driven systems;
- Experience working with databases, including PostgreSQL, and data persistence concepts;
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS);
- Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CI/CD using Azure DevOps;
- Experience with legacy platform migrations, ETL processes, and data hygiene;
- Experience developing secure, high-quality, and maintainable code following industry security best practices;
- Familiarity with Dynatrace and CloudWatch;
- Upper-intermediate English level.
