Job Title: Senior Amazon AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer to join a strategic cloud migration engagement. You will be the hands-on implementation resource behind a new observability platform built on AWS and OTEL. Working alongside a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will deploy, configure, and harden the platform, instrument the first production workloads, and help project teams onboard independently. This role is for someone who moves fast, writes clean IaC, and takes pride in building platforms that other teams can actually use
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Provision and configureObservability platform: data sources, dashboards, alerting, and RBAC
- Deploy and operate the OpenTelemetry Collector layer on AWS, integrating with CloudWatch and application workloads
- Instrument target workloads end-to-end: logs and metrics for MVP, distributed traces in subsequent sprints
- Implement IAM and RBAC policies aligned with least-privilege principles
- Build golden dashboards and SLO-based alerting for MVP workloads
- Implement compliance logging guardrails: retention policies and immutable audit logs
- Package Collector configurations as reusable Terraform modules for self-service onboarding by project teams
- Produce onboarding documentation and support knowledge transfer sessions with the client's platform team
- Contribute to runbooks and incident response procedures
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Geneva On-site presence
- 5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience, predominantly on AWS
- Solid experience withOTEL platforms likeGrafana (Cloud or OSS): Loki, Mimir, Tempo, dashboards, and alerting
- Practical experience with OpenTelemetry: Collector deployment, pipeline configuration, and SDK instrumentation
- Strong Terraform skills; experience packaging IaC as reusable modules
- Familiarity with AWS security services: IAM, KMS, VPC, CloudTrail, and CloudWatch
- Experience working in regulated or security-conscious environments
- Proficiency in Python and/or Bash for automation and scripting
- Ability to produce clear, developer-friendly technical documentation
- Fluent in French
Nice to Have
- Experience with AWS Distro for OpenTelemetry (ADOT) or AWS X-Ray
- Kubernetes / EKS experience for containerised workload instrumentation
- AWS certifications (AWS Associate/ Professionallevels)
- Prior experience in financial services or regulated industries
- English language skills
