Overview / Summary
This role supports mission-critical applications and services by designing, maintaining, and validating infrastructure architecture, data management strategies, and system integrations while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Infrastructure Architecture support.
- Coordinate and integrate system data models and designs to promote data sharing, eliminate redundancy, and optimize the use of data resources.
- Coordinate with and provide technical guidance to the Project Manager in developing project plans.
- Coordinate with data stewards to develop, communicate, and enforce data classification policies and standards.
- Create and maintain the metadata repository, including formal data descriptions, data structures, and data flow diagrams.
- Create, maintain, and verify system-level designs.
- Define and enforce data standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure data integrity, quality, usability, and security.
- Develop an Information Architecture Model consistent with Enterprise Information Management.
- Develop and maintain the statewide data model to support integrated use across applications.
- Develop and manage configuration management standards, processes, and policies.
- Document application controls required to meet security standards.
- Ensure data integration with internal organizations and external business and IT communities.
- Evaluate and recommend software fixes to resolve issues.
- Facilitate and lead application environment consolidation, migration, and integration efforts.
- Gather, organize, and track IT solution requirements and issues.
- Lead implementation activities for IT solutions.
- Recommend software integration approaches for existing applications.
- Develop data management strategies to ensure data security and appropriate data retention.
- Prepare and facilitate SDT sessions.
- Provide data modeling and design guidance, including identifying data entities, dependencies, and relationships.
- Recommend infrastructure solutions based on TIA of proposed infrastructure changes to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Review Enterprise Architecture Solution Patterns, Reference Models, and Solution Assessments for application design guidance.
- Revise and validate project management documents using DTMB PMM and SEM.
- Revise and validate technical designs, specifications, and diagrams.
- Verify the architectural integrity of the application environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 8+ years of RHEL experience.
- 8+ years of Windows Server experience.
- Exposure to Application Architecture.
- Familiarity with application servers such as WebLogic, WebSphere, or JBoss.
- Experience designing and architecting native and hybrid cloud deployments on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- State Government experience.

- 3+ years of Network Administration experience.
- 3+ years of SQL experience.
- 5+ years of experience creating, updating, and maintaining systems documentation.
- Experience using architecture and diagramming tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, and Draw.io.
- Experience administering and architecting IIS, Apache, and WAF.
- Experience architecting redundant and scalable Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database deployments.
- Experience securing networks, web applications, and databases.
- Exposure to programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with CI/CD tools including Ansible, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, and Veracode.
- Exposure to IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS deployments.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and CloudFormation).
- Experience architecting container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Cloudflare experience.
