DevOps Architect

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps & Platform Architect to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of enterprise-scale cloud, DevOps, platform engineering, and MLOps solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, platform engineering, containerization, and modern software delivery practices. This individual will play a key role in building scalable developer platforms, enabling enterprise modernization initiatives, and driving operational excellence across large-scale technology environments.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong architectural vision, technical depth, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Platform Architecture

• Design and implement enterprise cloud platforms across AWS and hybrid cloud environments.
• Architect scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native solutions.
• Define platform engineering standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices.
• Lead modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.

DevOps & Automation

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps tools and practices.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks using Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, or equivalent technologies.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, monitoring, and operational workflows.
• Drive DevSecOps adoption and continuous improvement initiatives.

Containerization & Platform Engineering

• Design and manage Kubernetes/OpenShift-based platforms.
• Develop self-service deployment capabilities and developer enablement platforms.
• Establish deployment automation, governance, and platform reliability standards.
• Support large-scale migration and modernization programs.

Data Engineering & MLOps

• Design and implement modern data and machine learning pipelines.
• Build scalable MLOps frameworks supporting model training, deployment, monitoring, and governance.
• Partner with Data Science and AI teams to operationalize AI/ML workloads.
• Enable enterprise adoption of Generative AI and AI-powered solutions.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead technical architecture discussions and provide strategic guidance.
• Mentor engineers, architects, and DevOps teams.
• Collaborate with business, product, security, and infrastructure stakeholders.
• Drive delivery excellence and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Deep expertise in CI/CD, Infrastructure Automation, and Platform Engineering.
• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, and container orchestration platforms.
• Strong programming and scripting experience in Java, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, or equivalent tools.
• Strong understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale cloud transformation initiatives.

GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed in Dallas TX is 150K to 190K, and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good faith estimate and the amount offered may be higher or lower.
