PE Global is recruiting for a Site Reliability Engineer on behalf of a global healthcare company in Dublin. This is an initial 12-month contract, fully remote role.
As a Site Reliability Engineer for the Core Speech Operations team, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by supporting Core Speech products.
Tasks:
• Perform operational deployments, implementations, and maintenance for production systems.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and reporting of performance metrics for Core Speech products as well as performing capacity planning tasks.
• Implement and maintain operational alerting systems
• Be part of a rotation with other team members to provide off-hours site reliability support, responding to alerts as needed
• Work with a team on collaborative projects as well as independently to drive improvements to system performance and architecture.
• Participating in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, compliant with professional and quality standards, and in a manner consistent with Solventum’s values and ethical standards.
Your Skills and Expertise:
To set you up for success in this role from day one, requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years equivalent work experience, or high school diploma/GED and 6+ years of equivalent work experience, in operations support and/or application development.
• Attention to detail and the ability to solve problems logically, methodically, and efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse business and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate with team members both local and remote.
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience Maintaining and documenting standards, processes, and procedures for production systems
• Experience administering and managing Linux environments
• Familiarity with AI agents, models, and model control protocols
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Enthusiasm and a sense of humor.
Strong skills, understanding, and experience with many of the following technologies is also preferred:
• Languages used in devops tools (Python, Jython, shell, etc.) and programming languages such as Java and Go
• Git version control systems (especially on Github or Gitlab platforms)
• SQL databases (especially PostgreSQL)
• Non-SQL databases (MongoDB, AWS DocumentDB)
• Build systems, CI, and CD (GoCD, Github, Gitlab)
• Virtual environments and containerization (Docker, containerd, etc.)
• Cloud orchestration and automation tools (Ansible, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc.)
• AWS products like EC2, EFS, EKS, S3, RDS, CloudFront, etc.
• Monitoring, log aggregation, and message streaming (Grafana, Redis, Solr, Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Filebeat)
Work location: Ireland - Remote
Travel: not required
Role will be expected to participate in on-call rotation which is once every 5 weeks from 9am to 5pm Monday through Sunday. Role is not expected to be actively working this entire time, especially on weekends, but if an alert is received would need to be able to address it within 30 minutes to 1 hour.
