Cpl Recruitment is partnering with an innovative international organisation that is expanding its AI Engineering team in Dublin. They are looking for a Platform Engineer who enjoys building cloud infrastructure, automating platforms, and enabling engineering teams to deliver modern AI products at scale.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a Google Cloud environment where you'll help shape the platform powering next-generation AI applications. You'll collaborate with software engineers to create reliable, secure, and highly automated infrastructure while improving developer productivity across the organisation.

Outline of the role

• Design, build and support cloud infrastructure that powers AI products and engineering platforms.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and cloud automation tools.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable application and infrastructure deployments.
• Improve platform reliability through monitoring, logging, alerting, secrets management and operational best practices.
• Support the infrastructure required for AI and machine learning workloads running in production.
• Partner with software engineering teams to deliver self-service platform capabilities and improve the developer experience.
• Contribute to cloud governance, platform security, engineering standards and architectural best practices.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve automation, scalability, performance and operational efficiency.

Experience

• 3–5 years' experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud platform. Google Cloud experience would be a significant advantage.
• Commercial experience using Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code technologies.
• Experience building and maintaining modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash or similar languages.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, infrastructure security and production best practices.
• Experience supporting scalable, highly available production platforms.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-moving engineering environment.
