Lead Cloud Engineer

As the Lead Cloud Engineer in your role, you will perform a range of activities required to both maintain and continuously automate a large, complex Kubernetes-based cloud computing environment.

You will drive the creation of new infrastructure and environments, which will be critical to continued growth and adoption of broader Kubernetes / container orchestration goals across the business. The ideal candidate is passionate about cloud-native technologies and Kubernetes ecosystem tools to accomplish complex project initiatives and implement mission critical system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and manage highly available Kubernetes clusters using Infrastructure as code. Including provisioning, upgrades and lifecycle management.
• Develop and maintain Kubernetes operators, controllers to automate application deployment, scaling and operational workflows.
• Lead DevOps and platform engineering initiatives involving Docker, Kafka and Kubernetes ecosystem tools.
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes resources using Terraform, ensuring consistency, scalability, and automation through Infrastructure as code practices.
• Deploy, manage, and optimize production Kubernetes clusters on AWS, ensuring high availability, security and performance.

What you’ll bring:

• Production-level hands on experience with AWS cloud services and implementing Kubernetes on AWS (EKS or self-managed clusters).
• Comprehensive experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes resources.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes cluster creation, maintenance, support, and administration in production environments.
• Strong hands-on development skills with demonstratable coding experience in Go or Python (Go strongly preferred).
• Experience designing and implementing multi-tenancy architectures in Kubernetes environments.
