DevOps Software Engineer

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent STEM field with 2+ years of related experience; or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Podman or Docker or Kubernetes.
• Daily user of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, GitLab CI) to automatically compile, run unit/integration tests, and deliver builds
• Experience with Python or Java or C++
• Experience with Linux Operating System
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

The Work

Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time DevOps Software Developer. In this role, you will perform tasks supporting Navy programs. The successful candidate will have experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, software development, and Linux.

This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate will be required to hold an active government Secret security clearance.

Desired Skills

• Experience with GitLab and a variety of CI/CD pipeline strategies to streamline and accelerate software delivery
• Experience in Automation & DevOps, including CI/CD definition, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated testing, and release pipeline construction.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices and containerized legacy applications on Kubernetes clusters.
• Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals
• Desire to troubleshoot and integrate complex software systems
