T&DS - Senior DevOps Engineer, Azure Platform

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, deploying Azure resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). This role requires a strong ability to architect solutions, work collaboratively within a team, and mentor team members. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our cloud infrastructure and ensuring the seamless deployment of applications.

This is a permanent position reporting to the Head of Digital Workplace & Cloud Platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Azure infrastructure using IaC tools such as ARM templates or Bicep.
• Architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions on Azure which align with approved architectural standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications and infrastructure.
• Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment process.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues, following ITIL best practices.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in DevOps and cloud technologies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in deploying Azure resources using IaC.
• Proven experience in architecting solutions on Azure.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Excellent knowledge of cloud concepts and technologies, utilizing Microsoft Azure. You are familiar with governance, monitoring, IAM, storage and serverless infrastructure, and container concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
• Certifications: AZ-900, AZ-104, and AZ-400.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Strong leadership, adaptability, and time management skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or Splunk.
• Familiarity with security best practices and tools for cloud environments.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
