Overview
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Platform Engineer to help design, build and productionize a workflow orchestration platform
that underpins our marketing operations.
This role is focused on building reliable, scalable software rather than providing architectural advice. You will work alongside data
engineers, frontend developers and cloud engineers to deliver a production-grade orchestration engine that coordinates campaign
execution across multiple systems.
Our platform is built using Python, Prefect, AWS and Snowflake, integrating with custom frontend applications, middleware services and
internal APIs. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering problems, building robust systems and taking
ownership of production environments. What You'll Be Working On
You'll be helping to build an orchestration platform responsible for:
Executing and monitoring complex business workflows
Orchestrating data movement between Snowflake and downstream systems
Integrating with custom frontend applications, middleware, and internal APIs
Managing scheduled and event-driven workloads
Supporting multiple deployment environments (Development, Test and Production)
Providing operational visibility into workflow execution, failures, and performance
Ensuring workflows are reliable, repeatable, and recoverable
This is an opportunity to build a platform rather than simply maintain one. Responsibilities
As a Senior Platform Engineer, You Will
Design, develop and maintain workflow orchestration using Python and Prefect
Build reliable, scalable and observable data workflows
Integrate with Snowflake, REST APIs, middleware, and internal applications
Design deployment pipelines and release processes across multiple environments
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for production workloads
Design retry strategies, recovery mechanisms, and rerun processes for failed workflows
Implement secure configuration, authentication, and secrets management
Work closely with Data Engineers, Frontend Developers, and Cloud Engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions
Produce operational documentation, deployment guides, and runbooks
Support production releases and troubleshoot issues when required
Contribute to engineering standards, code quality and platform best practices Technical Environment

Hands-on experience with Prefect or a comparable orchestration framework
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform is preferable)
Strong SQL skills and experience working with Snowflake or another modern cloud data warehouse
Experience deploying and operating applications in AWS
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of monitoring, logging and observability
Experience troubleshooting production systems and data pipelines
Experience integrating applications through APIs and distributed services
Strong software engineering practices, including testing, version control and code reviews

It Would Be Advantageous If You Have Experience With
dbt or modern data transformation frameworks
Snowpark
Docker and containerized deployments

Event-driven architectures
Marketing technology, campaign management or customer data platforms
What Success Looks Like
Within the first six months you will have helped deliver:
A reliable, production-ready workflow orchestration platform
Automated deployment pipelines across Development, Test and Production
Robust monitoring, alerting and operational dashboards
Secure configuration and secrets management
Reliable retry and recovery mechanisms for workflow failures
Clear operational documentation and runbooks
Improved visibility into workflow execution and platform health This Role Is Not a Good Fit If
This Role Is Unlikely To Suit Someone Who
Primarily works as a Cloud Architect or Solution Architect without hands-on development responsibilities
Has limited Python development experience
Has not supported production applications or operational data platforms
