In this role you will design, build, deploy and manage the Cloud Infrastructure that underpins key systems, ensuring business continuity and information security. You will ensure the cloud solutions align with the organisation's strategic, regulatory, compliance, and operational objectives, and deliver core client services in a multi-hosted landscape.
This position will be based in our Brisbane CBD office and flexible working options may be requested.

Your typical day as a Principal Cloud Engineer may include:
- Ensure Cloud resources are managed, proactively monitored, available and cost optimised.
- Lead troubleshooting, problem solving of incidents impacting availability of Production.
- Lead in the design and rollout of Cloud services including coverage of security, reliability and availability.
- Collaborating with developers, testers, project teams, management, other engineers for deployments, releases.
- Lead a team of DevOps and Cloud Engineers.
Key Accountabilities Of The Role Are
- Collaborating with your team and remote service providers to ensure 24/7 availability of core cloud solutions, providing critical solution administration and operational support services, to maintain continuous operations.
- Executing complex cloud administrative and maintenance tasks in the multi-cloud environment, ensuring consistent and stable environments that support the efficiency, continuity, integrity and security of the solutions.
- Providing authoritative advice to design, build and manage the cloud architecture.
- Proactively troubleshoot complex issues by using monitoring and diagnostic tools and techniques. Liaise closely with technical stakeholders to resolve issues and improve system effectiveness.
- Developing and maintaining system documentation, procedures, and configurations to a professional standard.
- Building and maintaining productive working relationships with stakeholders, service providers and other government agencies.
- Leading and coaching a high-performing team committed to delivering excellent client services.
- Proven experience in Azure Cloud services, administration including design, build, operations, availability, integration, observability, security and business continuity. (Experience in AWS is desirable.)
- Proven experience supporting DevOps CI/CD pipelines, secrets management, containerisation and supporting software releases.
- A working knowledge of databases and network security.
