For our European Headquarters in Frankfurt am Main area (Offenbach) we are looking for a:
Platform & Application Operations Engineer (m/f/d)
We are seeking a skilled Service Operations Admin who manages the system of our B2B Portal applications. In this position you will manage the platform on technical side and ensure the stability of the application services hosted in k8s cluster.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor logs, traffic and resource usage on a daily basis to keep the system running smoothly.
- Review the platform regularly, identify technical debt, and make optimizations such as refactoring or performance adjustments to meet internal IT standards
- Handle sprint planning, triage incoming requests, assign tasks, and work through the backlog using Jira.
- Plan release schedules and support deployment activities together with the operations team.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
- Maintain the CI/CD pipeline, resolve issues, and ensure consistent, reliable build and deployment processes.
- Help ensure uninterrupted service and avoid downtime.
- Provide regular updates on progress and issues to the team lead
- Work with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and offer technical guidance when needed.
Requirements:
- A relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a comparable technical field.
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience in application operations, platform operations, DevOps, or a similar technical role.
- Experience in requirements analysis, translating business needs into technical specifications and vice versa.
- Solid understanding of application development architectures, ideally with exposure to React, Java, or similar frameworks.
- Basic knowledge of Kubernetes and container-based environments.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, React (TanStack, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/UI) and Java Spring Boot.
- Practical experience with CI/CD pipeline setup and management.
- Confident use of Microsoft 365, Figma, and Jira/Confluence, ideally at an advanced or admin level.
- Knowledge of CDN technologies and general web middleware systems.
- Working knowledge of Adobe AEM, particularly its architectural role in digital platforms.
- Fluent English, ideally at a C1 level.
- Good understanding of SEO, web analytics, accessibility standards, and CRM system basics.
