Software & Security Engineer (RMF / ATO)

Why This Role Exists

We’re looking for a junior engineer who wants to grow into a rare hybrid role combining software engineering, cybersecurity, and RMF/ATO compliance. You’ll support application development and security accreditation efforts for a modern cloud-based platform.

What You’ll Do

- Contribute to development of cloud-native applications (Vue.js, Node.js, C#, TypeScript)

- Support RMF/ATO documentation and compliance tasks

- Assist with security implementation and vulnerability remediation

- Work in Docker/Docker Swarm environments

- Collaborate with engineers on feature development

- Help maintain systems deployed in AWS or Azure

- Participate in client-facing support activities as you grow

Required Qualifications

- 3-5 years of experience in software development or cybersecurity

- Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, or C#

- Exposure to AWS or Azure

- Understanding of secure coding practices

- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis

- Exposure to RMF, ATO, NIST, or compliance frameworks

Nice to Have

- Experience with Vue.js

- Docker/container experience

- DevSecOps exposure

- Interest in government or regulated environments
