About the Role

The Cybersecurity Analyst will lead and execute end-to-end vulnerability assessment and penetration testing engagements across web applications, APIs, and mobile applications. The role owns manual and automated security assessment work, from validating vulnerabilities to preparing technical reports and executive summaries that help clients act quickly. It also requires close collaboration with internal teams and customers during remediation, plus disciplined vulnerability tracking to ensure findings are resolved and measured. Success in this role depends on staying current with emerging threats, maintaining strict confidentiality, and leading onsite project execution with strong delivery discipline.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end VAPT delivery across web applications, APIs, and mobile applications, ensuring findings are validated, risk-rated, and translated into clear remediation priorities for clients. - Perform manual and automated security testing using tools such as BurpSuite Pro, OWASP ZAP, and Postman, with a focus on accurate identification and exploitation of vulnerabilities. - Prepare comprehensive technical reports and executive summaries that explain findings, exploitation steps, business impact, and mitigation actions in a way clients can use immediately. - Partner with internal teams and clients during remediation to validate fixes, close issues effectively, and keep vulnerability tracking current and actionable. - Maintain alignment with OWASP, PTES, NIST, CIS, and PCI DSS so assessments are consistent, defensible, and relevant to client expectations. - Lead onsite project execution and guide the team through delivery, while maintaining strict confidentiality and integrity of client data throughout the engagement. - Stay current on vulnerabilities, exploits, attack techniques, and threat intelligence so the work remains relevant to the evolving threat landscape.

Essential Skills & Technologies

• Strong hands-on capability in Web Application Penetration Testing, including security testing of common application flows, exposure points, and business logic weaknesses.
• Deep familiarity with API security testing across REST, SOAP, and GraphQL, with the ability to validate weaknesses and explain their impact clearly.
• Working knowledge of mobile application security testing for Android and iOS, covering both manual and automated approaches to uncover real risks.
• Practical experience in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing, with disciplined validation, exploitation, and risk scoring using CVSS.
• Proficiency with manual and automated testing tools such as BurpSuite Pro, OWASP ZAP, Postman, and related security utilities.
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 and API Security Top 10, with the ability to apply these frameworks during assessments.
• Preferred exposure to secure code review and threat modeling, especially when those inputs improve findings quality and remediation guidance.

• Exposure to secure code review is an advantage because it helps identify deeper root causes beyond surface-level vulnerabilities. - Threat modeling experience is a plus when it improves assessment depth, prioritization, and client guidance. - Prior onsite delivery experience is beneficial for managing execution quality and team coordination in client-facing environments.
