Lead Platform and Security Engineer
Indexed description
The science is modern; the proof is medieval. Build the system that closes the gap.
Maddyie Labs is building the evidence orchestration layer across documents, laboratory/quality management systems, and procedural workflows. This is about building the foundation of the product: cloud platforms, GitOps, IaC, access control, operation and compliance standards. You will be drawing the blueprint for the entire Maddyie platform.
WHY IT MATTERS
The healthcare industry still builds audit reports manually from old folders, spreadsheets, emails, SharePoint and LIMS wasting resources, slowing accreditations, and impacting time to market. We’re building the systems to fix that, and solve AI for industries where existing foundation models don’t meet the integrity standards required to do business.
Our initial target is the regulated labs market, expanding into the larger universe of regulated industries globally.
YOU WILL BUILD
- Infrastructure foundations optimised for a fully managed Cloud SaaS offering.
- Enterprise access control layers using Role/Attribute-Based Access Control.
- Hardened CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure-as-code, image build, container orchestration, and vulnerability scanning.
- Automated compliance systems and continuous audit trails designed to meet stringent global standards (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Cloud security strategies, threat monitoring, incident response frameworks, and observability systems.
WHO WE NEED
A senior platform engineer with a security-first mindset; someone who can draw the foundational security blueprint for a greenfield product platform.
You are a pragmatic builder who thrives on greenfield projects and translates strict enterprise compliance into elegant, automated engineering practices.
- Deep platform & automation expertise with strong proficiency in GitOps, IaC tooling and cloud.
- Strong security engineering fundamentals across applied cryptography, threat modelling, and secure system design.
- Ability to reason across regulatory boundaries, translating compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR) into automated, auditable code.
- Clear communication and a collaborative approach to solving complex infrastructure and deployment challenges.
THE SEAT
Early enough to shape standards, architecture, technical culture and product direction
Melbourne preferred while the team forms; strong Australian-time-zone candidates considered. Compensation calibrated to capability and impact. Equity participation subject to agreed terms.
