About the Job

We are seeking a forward-thinking QA Automation Engineer to lead our quality engineering efforts in an increasingly autonomous development landscape. This role transcends basic script writing; you will be at the forefront of AI-assisted testing, leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate, optimize, and maintain complex test suites. You will design and deploy robust automated solutions using tools like Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium, integrating them into high-velocity CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality. This role is critical for delivering high-performance, globally reliable software through innovative automation and cloud-native observability.

Your Role

Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain intelligent automated test scripts, utilizing AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, specialized QA agents) to accelerate test creation and self-healing of broken scripts.
  • Utilize tools like Playwright, Cypress, Appium, and Cucumber to ensure comprehensive coverage across web, mobile, and desktop environments.
  • Collaborate with development teams to define test strategies for AI-integrated features, ensuring the reliability and safety of LLM-based application outputs.
  • Integrate automated security and functional tests into modern CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
  • Set up and manage scalable test environments leveraging AWS or Azure infrastructure, including containerized testing nodes via Kubernetes.
  • Monitor and analyze application health and test reliability using OpenTelemetry and AI-driven performance tracking.
  • Participate in early design reviews to ensure testability and perform regular regression testing to validate stability in production-like environments.
  • Track and manage defects using Jira, utilizing data-driven insights to propose architectural improvements for overall software quality.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
  • Keep documentation up to date to ensure efficient knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Continuously improve QA processes by incorporating best practices, new tools, and innovative technologies.
  • Propose and implement solutions to enhance the overall quality of software products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in QA Automation with mastery of Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
  • Strong skills in TypeScript, Java/Kotlin, or Python, with an emphasis on type-safe test development.
  • Experience with AI-assisted coding tools and an understanding of how to test AI/ML-driven application workflows.
  • Deep understanding of the SDLC and expertise in API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured.
  • Mastery of Git-based workflows and collaborative platforms like GitHub or GitLab.
  • Knowledge of core cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to communicate technical quality risks to stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

  • Basic knowledge of Terraform or Pulumi for automated environment provisioning.
  • Experience simulating real-world user loads using k6, JMeter, or LoadRunner.
  • Deep familiarity with Scrum/Kanban and experience working in fast-paced, distributed team environments.
  • ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer or cloud provider certifications (AWS/Azure).
