On Cue Hire is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join a fast-growing organization based in Boca Raton, Florida. This role will help strengthen and mature the organization's cybersecurity program through hands-on security engineering, security operations, identity management, vulnerability management, and cloud security initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, experience within the Microsoft security ecosystem, and a proactive approach to protecting enterprise systems and data.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and optimize Microsoft security technologies, including Defender, Sentinel, Intune, and related security solutions.
- Support security operations, threat detection, incident response, and remediation activities.
- Assist with Zero Trust initiatives across identity, devices, networks, and cloud environments.
- Manage and enhance identity and access management controls, including Entra ID, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, and privileged access controls.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, security reviews, remediation tracking, and validation of corrective actions.
- Support data protection and data loss prevention initiatives across Microsoft 365, endpoints, email, and cloud platforms.
- Partner with infrastructure, application, and leadership teams to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Support compliance and audit initiatives aligned with NIST, CIS Controls, SOX, and vendor risk management requirements.
- Contribute to security standards, policies, procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, or related disciplines.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Intune, Entra ID, and Microsoft security technologies.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, incident response, threat detection, and security monitoring.
- Experience implementing identity and access management controls, including SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, and privileged access management.
- Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Tenable, Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of data protection, DLP, data classification, and information security controls.
- Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, endpoint security, and cloud security concepts.
- Experience supporting security compliance frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, and SOX.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with SOC, MDR, or managed security service providers.
- Experience with SIEM/SOAR automation and security orchestration.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview and enterprise DLP solutions.
- Experience with CyberArk or other Privileged Access Management platforms.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, Security+, SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, or similar.
