Role Overview
As a Consultant – Cybersecurity Integration, you will support the cybersecurity workstream of large-scale integration programmes (e.g., acquisitions, divestments, and transformations). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess current security posture, identify risks, and enable secure Day 1 and post-integration readiness.
This role requires a strong blend of cybersecurity fundamentals, structured problem solving, and stakeholder coordination across business, IT, and OT environments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cybersecurity Assessment & Analysis
- Conduct asset discovery and inventory validation across IT, OT, and business environments
- Perform security control assessments against defined frameworks and integration requirements
- Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies impacting integration outcomes
2. Integration Execution Support
- Support the execution of cybersecurity integration plans across multiple workstreams
- Coordinate with IT, OT, and business teams to gather required data and inputs
- Assist in tracking progress of integration activities and resolving blockers
3. Risk & Remediation Management
- Maintain and track risk logs, issues, and remediation actions
- Support prioritization of security remediation aligned with Day 1 and transition milestones
- Monitor closure of gaps and provide status updates to leadership
4. Day 1 & Transition Readiness
- Support activities required to ensure Day 1 security readiness
- Contribute to transition planning and stabilization efforts post Day 1
- Assist in validating readiness checkpoints and acceptance criteria
5. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries
- Maintain project documentation, including assessment outputs, risk registers, and action trackers
- Ensure documentation is structured, traceable, and audit-ready
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT risk, or technology consulting
- Experience in one or more domains:
- Security assessments / GRC
- IT infrastructure and cloud security
- OT/industrial environments
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
- Experience supporting complex projects or transformations is preferred
- Open to Malaysians and expatriates who do not require a visa to work in Malaysia.
Key Skills:
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and track multiple workstreams and dependencies
- Excellent stakeholder coordination across technical and business teams
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency with modern AI technologies (for example, Claude, OpenAI, Gemini)

Good to Have:
- Exposure to M&A or large-scale integration programmes

- Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., energy, financial services)
