Lead Quality Engineer

About the Role

Own quality across VNGGames' Game Publishing Platform. A hands-on leadership role: set the quality strategy for multiple squads, raise the testing bar, embed AI into how we test and ship, and grow a high-performing QE team.

Core competencies:

• QE Skills — test automation (UI/API/service), risk-based test design, CI/CD quality gates, performance & reliability testing, coding in Java/Python/TS/Go.
• Strategic Thinking — turns product goals into a multi-quarter quality roadmap; risk-based investment; meaningful metrics; plans for scale.
• AI Skills — uses AI/LLM tools for test generation, triage and root-cause analysis; pilots & rolls out AI-assisted QE tooling with sensible guardrails.
• Leadership — leads & coaches QE squads; builds shared quality ownership; strong stakeholder communication; calm under incidents and releases.

Requirements:

• 7+ years in software quality / QE, with 2+ years leading or mentoring QE engineers.
• Proven depth in test automation and CI/CD quality on production systems.
• Track record of setting quality strategy and improving measurable outcomes.
• Hands-on experience applying AI tools to testing or engineering workflows.
• Strong communication in English and Vietnamese.
• Bonus: experience testing payment systems (billing, webshop, transactions, fraud, reconciliation); gaming / live-service experience a plus.
