- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or higher (preferable in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent combined education/experience).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance
- Basic understanding of audit techniques.
- Ability to interpret schematic drawings, and specifications, contracts that will enable development and review of systems & software quality engineer processes, and related performance metrics.
- Good understanding of software dependencies, process flows and development methodologies.
- Ability to interpret software design and code (C/C++) to verify implementation of requirements.
- Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
What You Will Be Doing
The candidate will be responsible for developing, applying, modifying, and maintaining Software Quality Engineering (SSQE) Common Processes that are aligned with the AS9100 Quality Management System, Program and Customer requirements and objectives. This role requires interfacing with systems and software development personnel, test and evaluation personnel, project managers, and customers. The candidate must work well in a team environment, have excellent presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively with minimum guidance. The expectation is to quickly come up to speed with the SSQE work scope, technical requirements, program risks, and delivery milestone schedule.
Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Review and approve systems, software and test equipment, design and test documentation for compliance to requirements.
- Evaluate data to identify systemic issues and trends.
- Knowledge of causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex, and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Drive innovation and streamline overall testing processes.
- Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality.

Desired Skills
- Technical degree, preferably in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering.
- Test equipment hardware knowledge or background skills.
- Understanding of Lean Six Sigma tools and processes.
- Experience with verification and validation processes.
- Experience with National Test Stand, LabView, and CVI.
- Ability to organize and track multiple activities and prioritize task based on importance.
- Effective communication skills: written, oral, listening, presentation, and technical writing.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Audit experience (AS9100, ISO9001)
- Effective interpersonal skills, including Team building and Collaboration
- Proficient presentation and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
